No Strategy To Improve Pension Age Of Government Employees

Main govt workers are in for a frustration as the Center is at the moment not considering any shift to increase the pension age to 62 decades.

A mature formal in the secretary of state for employees, community issues and retirement benefits, which functions as nodal division for employees issues, said there was no such offer to improve the age for superannuation of govt workers.

"There is no offer to improve the pension age to 62 from 60 decades. The ministry is not operating on any such offer," the formal said.

Recent press reviews stated that the ministry has published to PMO for improving the pension age and desired the Partnership Cabinet's nod for the objective.

There are about 50 lakh Main govt workers operating in various divisions across the nation.

Officials in the ministry said improving pension age needs a specific assessment with all share owners and conversation with the fund ministry.

Without the fund ministry's authorization, the issue cannot not be prepared, they said.
