Government Set To Privatize 15 More Airports

The govt has created the decision to privatize 15 worldwide airports. The procedure will be began by six primary worldwide airports — Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and Guwahati — going for worldwide putting in a bid in the first stage. A conference of an inter-ministerial team on this problem with associates from preparing percentage, fund, law and aircraft ministries will be organised on Friday.

"These worldwide airports will be handled, handled and further designed by the PPP gamers, in which Airports Power of Indian (which designed, improved and functions them) will also have a share. All workers operating at these worldwide airports will have to be maintained by the new providers as the AAI will not have the potential to process them," said a mature formal of the aircraft ministry, which is forcing difficult for this quick offer off.

Asked why the govt is starting this procedure with hardly a few several weeks to go for the surveys and when worldwide airport privatization has confirmed to be so questionable, the formal said: "The procedure is being began and we want to put the strategy in position. Maybe the procedure is actually taken ahead by the next govt but we are doing the foundation. The speed at which this perform advances will choose whether UPA-II is able to do it or the next govt," said the formal.

The Comptroller and Auditor Common had penalized several problems in the privatization contract of Delhi Airport and claimed that the condition had missing several crores in income due to that. The aircraft ministry says it has learned a lot from the encounter of privatizing Delhi and Mumbai worldwide airports and won't be duplicating some 'mistakes' created then.
