The local govt is preparing presenting a plan to develop two govt academic institutions in each gary panchayat as modern main academic institutions, reverend for main and additional knowledge KimmaneRatnakar has said.
He said the govt will designate 12,000 visitor instructors until 16,000 empty content are filled.
After using a review meeting with the region main and additional knowledge staff at zilla panchayat audience on Weekend, he said: "Many from towns are moving to towns, leading to decrease in number of enrolments in govt academic institutions. In many academic institutions in non-urban places, for six to seven learners, one instructor has been deputed. Keeping this in mind, we are preparing to combine these academic institutions and offer free transport features to learners.
''Earlier, the govt assured there was one school for every 1 km. But now the situation is not the same as some children have moved to city. If academic institutions are combined, there won't be any lack of instructors. The local panchayats will be given liability to offer pick up and drop facility to learners," he said.
"Due to late submission of outfits and books by former main and additional knowledge reverend Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, some academic institutions are yet to get outfits and books. Kageri seems to have started circulating the outfits and books from Apr. For the next academic year, the submission of outfits and books will start in Sept itself so that learners will not suffer," added Kimmane.
